Lusako L Sibale
I am a medical technologist with a PhD in Pathogen Genomics and Infectious Diseases, and a strong background in immunology, molecular microbiology, and bioinformatics. My research centers on infectious disease genomics, with a particular focus on microbial diversity and antimicrobial resistance in vulnerable populations, including people living with HIV. I have authored peer-reviewed publications and contribute to collaborative research projects that integrate laboratory science with computational analysis.
In addition to my research, I am actively engaged in capacity building through the mentorship of interns at various academic levels, including pre-BSc, pre-MSc, and pre-PhD students. I am committed to advancing genomic research and training the next generation of scientists in the field of infectious diseases.
