Anu Gomanju
Anu Gomanju is a person living with rheumatic heart disease (RHD) from Nepal and a dedicated patient advocate for ending RHD. She is committed to ensuring equitable access to high-quality, affordable healthcare and advocates for the meaningful engagement of people living with non-communicable diseases (PLWNCD). Anu volunteers as an RHD patient advocate for numerous national and global organizations, taking on a variety of roles.
She serves as Vice-Chair of the Global Alliance for Rheumatic and Congenital Hearts (Global ARCH) and is a Community Advisory Network member of Reach. She is also affiliated with the NCDI Poverty Network, where she holds the position of Steering Committee Youth Advocate and is a member of ‘Voices for PEN-Plus.’ Her work extends to global health organizations such as the WHO, the World Heart Federation, and numerous patient and family organizations across Nepal and Asia.
Academically, Anu is trained as a global health professional, having recently completed a Master of Public Health in Global Health (2024). She is deeply passionate about empowering individuals with chronic illnesses and is actively involved in policy advocacy, health literacy, and research to advance her mission.
