Brenda Vo

Dr Brenda Vo is a biostatistician with expertise in theoretical and applied medical research, especially with applications in public health and cell biology. Brenda’s PhD thesis developed new statistical methods to provide key insights into the mechanisms driving the spread of Melanoma cell population such as motility, proliferation and cell-to-cell adhesion. It provides a useful tool to measure the efficacy of medical treatments that aim to influence the spread of Melanoma cell population. Before her appointment at UNE in 2017, Brenda worked on several projects in public health and nutrition sciences at QUT, Cancer Council Queensland and Menzies School of Health Research.
